Who isn't making smoothies right now?
If you answered no, then you truly need to start. It's a great way to add fruit and vegetables to your diet, in a fun and tasty way. My favourite part about it.. The experimenting!
I have made some truly divine creations and some that were akin to drinking sludge.. Mmm.
Here's a few of my tastier experiments:
(All served over ice!).
2x Bananas,
a handful of dates,
2x tbsp of Chia seeds,
1x tbsp of cacao powder,
1x tbsp of almond butter,
1x tbsp of cinnamon powder,
1x tbsp of maca powder,
and
Almond milk.
1x banana,
1x clementine,
a few sprigs of mint,
a handful of frozen summer fruits,
coconut water,
juice of half a lemon,
1x tbsp of chia seeds,
and
1x tbsp of acai powder.
1x banana,
a handful of spinach,
a few springs of mint,
juice of half a lemon,
1x tbsp of wheatgrass powder,
1x tbsp of chia seeds,
a handful of dates,
coconut water,
and
a splash of lime cordial.

DeleteI swear everyone is making juices and smoothies nowadays! Almost everyone in my flat too and I think I might be missing out.
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of adding healthy powders like chia and flax seeds. I've been adding those to yoghurt and drinking acai and goji juice and it's giving me life right now!

Yes, most people definitely are. You could start off by sampling some of your flatmates juice?
DeleteAnd if you don't like it.. Then adding a few of the different seeds and powders to yogurt is still perfect! I genuinely like the flavours so love making them :D x
Mhmm they all sound so good! I love when people use mason jars they're so cute! I need to get ones with lids :) xx
ReplyDeleteAdorable aren't they? You can find them fairly inexpensively too! x
DeleteYummm! If only I had time to go shop and buy all these stuff to make smoothies! xx
ReplyDeletechezzyrose.blogspot
I love fruit and vegetables, so usually fairly stocked up with bits and pieces. For the added powders and seeds, my recommendation would be to borrow from friends first. They're not a necessity, and some have strong tastes.. So I wouldn't want you to waste your money on something that you wouldn't get the use out of xx
Deletethat second one looks great for summer!
ReplyDeletewhile the first one would be good for breakfast!! :D
Have a wonderful day!

Agreed, the second one is a perfect summer concussion. Tastes a bit like a non-alcoholic daiquiri! x
