Acai bowl.

Sunday 21 June 2015

Well, I've been on a health kick for quite sometime now, and it's been eye opening to say the least. I think when you start to take your health into your hands, and truly think about what you're putting into your body, it can change the way you think and the way you feel. And who wouldn't want that?

One of my fave new dishes has to be an acai bowl. I tend to have this for breakfast on the weekends, when I have a little extra time and fancy a sweet treat.

Ingredients:

-1x heaped tablespoon of acai powder,
-1x tablespoon of chia seeds,
-1x frozen banana,
-1x handful of strawberries,
-1x handful of raspberries,
-1x tablespoon of almond butter,
and
-A small serving of liquid, I tend to use almond milk or coconut soya milk.

Place all ingredients into the a blender and blend until smooth. I tend to sprinkle a seed or trail mix onto the top just before serving.

Enjoy!

  3. Yum! I've always wanted to make an acai bowl but I don't know where to get the acai berries or powder. Any recommendations?

    1. I buy my acai powder from Holland and Barratt, which is a health food store here in the UK. They tend to have offers on monthly, so I buy it then. Other than that, you could definitely try local health food stores near to you and also online retailers such as Amazon! Let me know if you manage to try it lovely :D xxx
