Snaps from a wander around Nottingham

Sunday, 29 May 2016

A couple of weeks ago, my brother and I went on a little jaunt over to Nottingham. Only 20 minutes on the train from Leicester and you are there!

It was predicted to rain early on in the day, however, from the moment we stepped off the platform, blue clear skies for miles on end.

We didn't have a plan in mind, other than to wander around 'The Park' to look at the glorious houses and maybe a glass (or bottle) of wine or two..

We stumbled across Nottingham Contemporary, which is free to enter and houses various exhibitions and installations. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

I am hoping to put together a city guide at some point, as I will definitely be going back and there's a whole host of amazing bars, eateries and places of interest that make this a wonderful city to explore. I truly can't wait to go back!

Coachella.

Red or Dead - Mustard Yellow Sandals (old) Similar and Similar

Now, i'm sure everyone has seen the recent street style posts from Coachella. Which means festival season is officially upon us!

I would've adored to go Coachella, and if I did, this is the type of outfit that I would've gone for.

All I would need to do, is throw on a pair of sunnies and i'd be good to dance the night away.

What festivals have you got lined up for this summer, lovelies?

Current skincare routine.

Sunday, 12 April 2015

So, let's talk skin care shall we?
I won't lie to you, it took a good long time for me to get any sort of skin care routine together. But when I did, I can't express how much of a difference it made to my skin.

For a little bit of background, I'll tell you that my skin has always been blemish and acne prone. As a teenager my skin was bad, and I mean baaaaaad. A complete knock to my confidence and something I  struggled to get on top of. The amount of different products/medicines/treatments I have tried are endless.

However, I was introduced to the 'Anti-Blemish' solutions range by Clinique and the difference is incredible. Truly.
Buying all of the products together, including the cleansing brush in one fell swoop, was quite expensive, but seeing the results.. I can't put a price on that.

Although this is my current routine, I feel like my skin is now pretty much blemish free and I will be moving onto a new routine and it'll probably be Clinique products.

I would like to stress, that not only do I believe these products have played there part in changing my skin, but focusing on what I put into my body is key. More on that later!

Camel & Snake.

Tuesday, 24 March 2015

Camel coat: Vintage.  Jumper: eBay.  Jeans: New Look Petite.  Boots: Irregular Choice.

'Well now then marry bum, I see your face and it's like looking down the barrel of a gun'. I clearly don't look like a happy chappy in these photos, but I'm still new to the posing game, so please bare with me.

My love for all things camel will never die. Whenever i'm in a shop (technically my second home), I seem to immediately gravitate towards this colour. This lovely coat was an absolute steal for £6.. Bargain!

I have also been lusting after various snake print boots such as thesethese and of course these. But then I remembered these gorgeous snake print boots hiding at the back of my wardrobe.. Sorted!

Black & Yellow.

Wednesday, 18 March 2015

Jumper - eBay.  Pencil Skirt - Vintage.  Trainers - Adidas.

Is that a bare leg you see.. Yes, yes it is.

I have never loved trainers so much since my converse days, circa 2007. Who would've thought that they could be paired with so many different outfits:

-Dresses,
-Jeans,
-Suits,
-Skirts..

They go with everything!

Florals for spring.. Groundbreaking!

Tuesday, 10 March 2015

Coat: H&M.  Dress: H&M.  Boots: New Look.  Bag: Topshop.
Chihuahua called Ralph Oakley Emerson James.

What is that big glowing orb in the sky?
It's been so long that I kinda forgot what the sun looked like.
Although my heart skips a beat knowing that warmer weather is on it's way. I know that I shall miss my chunky knit scarves and multiple layers.

I picked up this delightful floral number from the H&M sale and I thought it was the perfect floral dress for all seasons.

I'm not the biggest fan of overly fussy floral numbers, but sometimes a dress just speaks to you. Know what I mean?

Coat: Dorothy Perkins. Skirt: River Island. Boots: eBay.

Hands up who loves the seventies trend? Yep,  me to.

I found those totally delightful boots on eBay, for a mere £15 brand new. Hello bargain!

Now all I need is a pair of a flares, and I think this outfit would be complete.

Tweeds.

Tuesday, 3 February 2015

Coat: Topshop.  Swing Dress: Missguided.  Horse necklace: ASOS.  Mules: New Look.

I've been attempting to de-clutter my wardrobe and in doing so, came across this little beaut of a coat. It's a Topshop number that I bought from eBay a while ago and at a steal of a price (you'll get to know that I have a keen eye for bargains!).

I decided to shoot this outfit in the garden when I saw the sun peeking out.. Forgetting momentarily that it was winter, hello pale, ever-so slightly blue legs. Didn't take me long to realise that perhaps a pair of trusty black tights and boots, might have to be the order of the day!
