Pretty in pink.

Sunday, 19 June 2016

Pink has never really been my colour, at all.

My outfit colour palette usually consists of black, white, grey, navy, khaki, burgundy and then maybe a little bit of camel or mustard to change it up a bit. However, recently I cannot stop myself gravitating towards all things pink. My wardrobe is now peppered with a variety of blush pink items, from shoes to bags, to tops to skirts and now this delightful satin tuxedo style jacket.

I saw it online and simply had to have it.

It's a lovely lightweight longline jacket, which can also be worn as a dress or how i've styled it as a light summer jacket. I can't wait to wear it for after work drinks or it would be perfect for a wedding.

Unfortunately this jacket has now sold out online, but you can still get it in orange and sky blue.

Wrap shirt: Warehouse.  Midi skirt: Topshop.  Stud court shoes: New Look (Sold out)(Similar).

Do you have a particular item of clothing that you tend to buy a lot of?

For me, the one item that bring me joy is the classic white shirt. I cannot tell you how many I own and how many I continue to buy. I own a myriad of styles from v neck to round neck, from satin to cotton, from longline to cropped and the list goes on..

However, I do not own a wrap shirt. But now I do and it makes me incredibly happy!

I see this shirt paired as pictured, or with jeans and sandals on those warmer days.

Welcome to the family!

Products:

I thought it was about time I introduced a few more beauty related posts onto the blog, as it's something I have huge passion for.

Now, when it comes to day to day beauty, I have finally found a combination of products that work for me. And when you find something that works.. Stick with it.

As a general rule for the day, I tend to lean towards the no make up, make up look.

The Clinique foundation is one of my all time favourites. The colour is such a gorgeous match with a medium but build-able coverage. I do have other foundations that I adore, but for everyday wear, this one wins.

When it comes to brows.. The only think I have to say is.. Benefit Cosmetics.

I'm sure when I say velvet teddy, you all know what i'm talking about. This lipstick has been on everyone's instagrams and favourites line-ups. When I first got my hands on it, I could totally see why. This shade is something of a 'Your-lips-but-better'. And I LOVE it.

What are your favourite go-to products?

Dress: Topshop (similar).

I do believe that you shouldn't use the term love, loosely. But when you know, you know..
I love this dress.

It makes me happy when I put it on.

I feel like it was made for me.

Do you ever feel like that about clothes? As soon as you see something, you just know?

I've worn it many a time since I purchased it (since sold out online unfortunately) and I can't wait to carry on wearing it through autumn/winter.

So readers, you have been warned.. You'll be seeing this delight again!

Mules.

Thursday, 23 July 2015

Top: Daisy Street via ASOS. Tube skirt: Topshop (old). Clutch: New Look (Old)(Similar). Mules: ASOS.

When I was younger, I never ever understood mules. I just didn't 'get' how they would stay on and why you would want half a shoe.

Oh how things change!

I love a mule now. I do.
In fact, I have several (or more) pairs in my collection.

What items have you grown to love?

Glastonbury.

Sunday, 28 June 2015

Checked linen shirt: Vintage. Necklace: H&M(Similar). Black crop: New Look. Cream midi dress: Topshop (old)(Similar). Sandals: Next. Sunglasses: New Look.

We're nearing the end of Glastonbury and I'm so gutted that i'm not there. We tried and failed to get tickets, but there we go!

Now, if I did manage to go and enjoy the delights of Glasto, this is totally the type of outfit I would rock. I have been to quite a few festivals in my time, so if you're like me and like to get right to the front of crowds, then you need something lightweight and comfortable.

Hair up is totally a must!

Are you attending any festivals this year?

Summer uniform.

Friday, 12 June 2015

Sunglasses: New Look (Similar). Shirt: Zara (Similar). Wrap Skirt: WarehouseBoots: Topshop (Similar).

With this delightful weather gracing us of late, I will be wearing a variation of this outfit, on a daily basis.

Now I do enjoy the warm weather, but I truly cannot stand feeling hot and sweaty *shudders*.
So it's all about light weight materials and loose fitting items. All topped off with my ever faithful top knot.

Now someone point me in the direction of a good beer garden..
